The Importance of Cleanliness
The old saying goes, "Cleanliness is next to godliness." In my opinion, this means that the only thing important with the exception of worshiping God is to be clean. Not only does this go for your body, but your thoughts, and your surroundings. Pursuing this further we expect cleanliness from many things in this world that we rely on.
The importance of cleanliness cannot be overemphasized when it comes to our health. Hospitals we expect to clean, In addition to foods, any restaurant or food bought from stores we expect to be clean and purged of anything that could possibly harm us. The last thing we would expect is dirty needles from hospitals and very filthy hands handling our foods.
Certainly, there is no shortage of disagreement when it comes to our water supply. As it is a very serious matter when there are high levels of pollution. Cleanliness is needed for our everyday lifestyles. Imagine working inside of a tarnished office. Where the floors were unclean, your co-workers are unhygienic and the bathroom is very sticky. No one would want to work there; this would also go back to the idea of restaurants. If there place of business is unsanitary and the food is contaminated, no one is going to want to eat there.
As one can see, cleanliness is highly significant in our everyday lifestyle. It is not an option but something mandatory, that is required we all have. It is one of the basics and unavoidable goods that are needed.

I really like that you chose this as a virtue. I agree with the examples of things around us that must be clean no matter what. The examples that are given do give the physical point of being clean. I would argue that it is not only about the physical form of cleanness. It also about having a clean mental status. For example a clean conscious to allow you to make the right decisions. You meed to have a clean mind soul, and body.

I agree completely that cleanliness is a very important virtue. I also like how you included the quote about cleanliness being next to God. But I feel like you need to add more about having a clean mind and soul as Allison says. I totally agree with what was written, but I felt like you gave a lot of examples about how it's important to keep places clean but you lacked of how we can keep our mind clean.
